No Roots

Scottdouche was the type of guy who bounced around from city to city, girlfriend to girlfriend, and job to job quite often. His relationships, living locations and occupations all seemed to vary greatly, and end eventually. He’s what some would refer to as a lost soul with no roots; didn’t belong anywhere. He had a talent for breaking people’s hearts and bank accounts.

Alice Merton – No Roots – YouTube

I like digging holes and hiding things inside them
When I grow old, I hope I won’t forget to find them
‘Cause I’ve got memories and travel like gypsies in the night I build a home and wait for someone to tear it down
Then pack it up in boxes, head for the next town running
‘Cause I’ve got memories and travel like gypsies in the night And a thousand times I’ve seen this road
A thousand times

I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots
I’ve got no roots I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots
I’ve got no roots

I like standing still, but that’s just a wishful plan
Ask me where I come from, I’ll say a different land
But I’ve got memories and travel like gypsies in the night

I count gates and numbers, then play the guessing game
It’s just the place that changes, the rest is still the same
But I’ve got memories and travel like gypsies in the night

And a thousand times I’ve seen this road
A thousand times

I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots
I’ve got no roots I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots
I’ve got no roots

I like digging holes
Hiding things inside them
When I grow old
I won’t forget to find them
I like digging holes
Hiding things inside them
When I grow old
I won’t forget to find them
I’ve got no roots
No roots

I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots
I’ve got no roots

I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots, but my home was never on the ground
I’ve got no roots
I’ve got no roots (no)

Any Port in a Storm..

Scottdouche said he slept with 300 people in his life .. Now whether that’s all women, women and men, or all men, I couldn’t really tell you; however, I can tell you that he told me I should feel privileged that he picked me, because according to him he could have anyone he wanted.. Boy did I feel special.. NOT!!! To me that’s just what you call, “Any port in a storm,” because you will stick it in anything and are not discerning..

Our First Date

On our first date, Scottdouche took me to this nice-popular place called “OP.” After ordering some apps and drinking  dirty olive martinis, we discussed our past relationships and a brief occupation overview. Scottdouche had then stated, “We should get married in 6 months, have a kid in 12 months, eat organic and do yoga.” I’m not even kidding…. On our first date.. I don’t think the guy when knew my middle name at this point, where I lived or what conditions I lived in, or pretty much anything about me that a normal human being would want to know about another human being before deciding to map out their life plan for the next 12 months…

Most people would have probably ran at this point. I just sat there quietly, not knowing if I was in shock, amused, or just dumbfounded by what this guy had just said to me.. I was wondering if he did this to all the women he goes out with on a first date or if it was just me..🤔🤔🤔

Box of Rocks

Scottdouche’s personality could be summed up as outgoing, charismatic, social, charming, funny, fun, NOT!!!

Scottdouche’s  personality is what I always referred to as, “A Box of Rocks.” He had little to say at all times, never started a conversation nor joined in on one,  never told a joke or made anyone around laugh, throwing out a compliment was practically  non-existent in his vocabulary, charming was on a low side, romantic-I don’t even think he knows what that word means-dull, bland, boring, unsocial, plain-old Box of Rocks is the best way to describe him..

His version of being loving and romantic to his girlfriend was to call her: Bro, Dude, Man, and say, “We cool man?” or “Aight Bro,” and constantly say how much he didn’t care about anything… Scottdouche said that complimenting a woman was something that only “cheese balls” do.
